Mold thrives in wet areas. Check for growth on surfaces around the sink and leaky faucets and pipes under the sink. Refrigerator drips trays are also a hot spot for this allergen so it's a good idea to keep them really clean.
Try to keep knickknacks to a minimum. The fewer, you have, the less dust you’ll collect, Use hypo-allergenic bedding with zippered, dust-proof covers. You should also wash your bedding and vacuum your room at least once a week.
Monitor your bathtub and sink for the first signs of mold and use cleaning solutions designed to kill mold and mildew. Dust the shelves regularly and be sure to throw your bathroom rug in the washing machine a few times a month to keep it allergen-free.
Keep your closets dust and clutter free by going through each one and making Yes, No and Maybe piles. Store the Maybe piles and review them 6 months later. Chances are many of these items will become a No. If you haven’t worn something in a year, donate it.
